Mr Christopher Mak
Mr. Mak has many years of experience in the financial industry, specializing in investment analysis and financial risk management. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, with a major in Physics and minors in Mathematics, and Social Science. Mr. Mak also attained more than 10 professional qualifications in accounting, insurance and investment-related areas. He holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), Certified Practising Accountant Australia (CPAA), RICS Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and Fellow of Life Management Institute (FLMI) designations, and is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Professional Risk Manager (PRM).

Mr Ferrix Lau (Programme Director, HKUSPACE)
Mr. Ferrix Lau, ACS, ACIS, CFA, FRM, has over 10 years’ teaching experience in business, accounting and finance modules at tertiary level. He teaches Financial Analysis, Financial Risk Management, Quantitative Analysis, Financial Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting as well as Corporate Governance. Moreover, he is a co-author of a Statistics book, Quantitative Analysis for Professional Studies and Projects. Furthermore, he has strong interests in the areas of Statistical Analysis, Quantitative Finance and Machine Intelligence. Mr. Lau has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, major in Economics and minor in Computer Science. Besides, he holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration with Distinction from The University of Hong Kong, concentrating on the theme of Accounting Control and Financial Management.

The MA in Coaching and Mentoring Practice provides integrative approach to learning that enables participants to translate the theoretical knowledge and concepts underpinning coaching and mentoring into their own practice. Its central aim is to give opportunities for the expansion of knowledge and understanding of theories and then to relate that knowledge to the skills and approaches necessary to develop professionally as a coach or mentor. With a unique blend of tutor and individual coach-supervisor support participants are supported in applying their skills and knowledge in practice in a variety of different working contexts.
The MA in Coaching and Mentoring Practice is the first University-based postgraduate programme in the UK and has established a very high standard of postgraduate education nationally and internationally. Mr Ferrix Lau (Programme Director, HKUSPACE)
Mr. Lau, ACS, ACIS, CFA, FRM, has over 10 years’ teaching experience in business, accounting and finance modules at tertiary level. He teaches Financial Analysis, Financial Risk Management, Quantitative Analysis, Financial Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting as well as Corporate Governance. Moreover, he is a co-author of a Statistics book, Quantitative Analysis for Professional Studies and Projects. Furthermore, he has strong interests in the areas of Statistical Analysis, Quantitative Finance and Machine Intelligence. Mr. Lau has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, major in Economics and minor in Computer Science. Besides, he holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration with Distinction from The University of Hong Kong, concentrating on the theme of Accounting Control and Financial Management.

Mr Thomas Lee
Mr Lee is a computer and project management professional who has worked in the information technology and data science industry for over 30 years under vendor environments including HP Inc., Dell, Fossil, Motorola network and GP Batteries. In the past ten years, Mr Lee focused on new product introduction, design for manufacturability, quality assurance & production risk management among manufacturing plants in China & Taiwan utilizing various data sciences tools and methodologies. Mr Lee is qualified as a Microsoft Certified Trainer in delivering Microsoft training modules based on Azure technology. He has been teaching courses related to Big Data, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Cyber Security and Fintech since 2020. Mr Lee is a certified Project Management Professional, PMP from Project Management Institute PMI, US from 1998 and a Certified Scrum Master since 2018. Mr Lee holds a Master of Health Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Toronto, St. George Campus, Canada. He currently works on projects as an enabler for Inclusion and Accessibility utilizing the artificial intelligence technology.

Dr. Alvin Ho, CFA
Dr. Ho is an experienced investment principal with a proven track record in private equity. While dedicating time to teaching at universities, he balances managing private investment portfolios and institutional LP investing with mentoring both start-ups and established companies. In addition, he serves as a board member for listed companies and NGOs, and is a member of investment committees for various funds and platforms. Previously the legal and executive representative for local currency funds incorporated in Beijing and Chengdu, he was the Head of China for a pan-regional private equity growth fund. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, along with master’s degrees from Tsinghua University and London Business School. He has authored three books in Chinese on the economics of sports, and served as chief editor of, and contributor to, RISE FROM CRISES, a publication of CFA Society Hong Kong.

As the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at CFA Institute, Scott leads the APAC North and South Partnerships and Client Solutions teams in engaging key industry stakeholders to promote the highest standards of education and professional excellence. His work includes collaborating with financial institutions and universities on industry research, professional learning, and investor protection initiatives. Representing CFA Institute, Scott also supports regulatory authorities in capacity building, partners with professional bodies and associations in educating the wider community, and assists employers in upskilling their workforce. Beyond his professional achievements, Terence is an active member of the investment community. He served as an Executive Director of CFA Society Hong Kong, one of the largest CFA societies globally, with over 6,500 members. He has played a key role in advancing the CFA Program, supporting investment competitions, and promoting thought leadership in areas such as performance measurement, risk analysis, and investor education.

Ms. Wong now works for HKU SPACE as a Programme Director. She has been teaching accounting and business courses in various tertiary institutions for nearly ten years. Before teaching, she had been working in the financial services field. She is one of the judges of the Best Financial Planner Award 2019 and is an elected member of the Hong Kong Institute of Marketing.
