Specialised Outpatient Services
In addition to traditional general diagnosis, HKU SPACE Chinese Clinics and Pharmacy introduces new specialised services to provide patients with the best care.
Tumor Treatment
Unlike cancer, tumors are abnormal divisions of body cells. There are two types of tumors. One is benign tumors, which are characteristic of not spreading to other body parts and can be removed. The other is malignant tumors called cancer. Both benign and malignant tumors accumulate over the years and are induced by loss of Qi in the body, poor blood flow, and imbalance of the internal organs. When the body's (healthy) qi is insufficient, the evil qi quickly enters the body. The treatment of "strengthening the body and eliminating the evil" in Chinese medicine can relieve the side effects after surgery and prevent metastasis or the spread of cancer cells. Traditional Chinese medicine is milder and can help reduce adverse reactions. It can be used in conjunction with western medicine.
Chiropractic
Care for Long COVID
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 10-20% of people infected with COVID-19 may be troubled by "Long COVID." Common symptoms include fatigue, shortness of breath, cognitive impairment, headache, chest pain, joint pain, etc., which may affect daily life. Traditional Chinese medicine believes COVID-19 can easily damage the human body's Qi and immunity system. It weakens the function of dehumidification, detoxification, and blood circulation, resulting in various side effects. Traditional Chinese medicine has a unique and irreplaceable curative effect on chronic cough and other long COVID symptoms. Since the COVID-19 pandemic starts in Hong Kong, the number of patients with long COVID problems has also increased significantly in our Clinics.
Women's Health
There are many kinds of gynecological diseases, and women today might encounter some common conditions such as:
. Irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, infertility, postpartum discomfort, etc.
Since menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding are all based on blood, Yin blood is often consumed, which can easily lead to Qi and blood disorders. In addition, modern urbanites like raw and cold food. Too many cold drinks hinder blood flow to the uterus, causing blood stasis. In addition to dysmenorrhea, they are prone to gynecological diseases, such as ovarian cysts and endometrial displacement.
Chinese medicine uses different methods to regulate women's viscera, qi, blood and chong-ren, find the root problem, and solve women's troubles from the inside out.
Men's Health
Urban people live under high pressure, irregular work and rest, excessive smoking and drinking, insufficient exercise, etc., which can easily lead to various health problems. Clinically ordinary men's health problems include erectile dysfunction, ejaculation dysfunction, decreased libido, prostate problems, infertility, etc.
Although it appears to be a problem of the male reproductive system, from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, it is closely related to the body's triple burner, liver, spleen, and kidney.
