The programme is aimed at students with no previous or little knowledge of the language. It covers a range of everyday topics and situations and includes a balance of all four skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing), as well as practice on key grammar points, vocabulary and pronunciation relevant to the level. By the end of the programme, students should be able to understand and use basic everyday phrases to introduce themselves, ask and answer questions about personal details. They will also learn language to deal with everyday situations like shopping, eating out, talking about their jobs, families and interests. 
The programme is equivalent to A1 level in the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

This programme can be taken upon successful completion of the Certificate in French (Introductory) or an equivalent programme of 110-130 hours. It enables students to consolidate their language foundation and build on their grammar. As a result, students will feel increasingly confident in their communicative ability. By the end of the programme, students should be able to talk about topics such as families and friends, leisure activities, food and drink, past and future situations. They should also be able to understand the main ideas when listening and reading. They can also write simple texts, e.g. postcards and emails.

This course covers the content of the A2 level in the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

This programme can be taken upon successful completion of the Certificate in French (Intermediate) or an equivalent programme of 230-250 hours. It continues to build upon the language already acquired, adding grammar and practising it in simple discussions, role-plays and group work, so that students can talk with confidence about the past, present and future. By the end of this programme, students should be able to express simple opinions and feelings in the language. They should also be able to read information from simple ads and to write texts on familiar topics using a range of verb tenses.

This programme can be taken upon successful completion of the Certificate in French (Upper Intermediate) or an equivalent programme of 350-370 hours. Students will practise speaking skills, expressing opinions on culture, sport, food & drink, current affairs, local events, holidays & the world today. They will read texts, comment in speaking & writing and listen to songs & recordings of native speakers. By the end of the programme, students should be able to talk with fluency about everyday topics, write simple texts on topics of familiar interest, follow the main ideas when listening to clear speech or reading simple texts.

The Test de Connaissance du Français (TCF) is a language placement test for non-native speakers of French. Anyone who would like to test their French language proficiency can take the international benchmark exam, after which candidates will receive a certificate issued by the French Ministry of Education, which is valid for 2 years.

This course prepares students who are going to take the international French examination “Test de Connaissance du Français” (TCF) and aim at attaining the level A1. On the one hand, students will be more familiar with the format of the assessments which cover three compulsory sections, including:
- listening comprehension (Compréhension orale);
- mastery of language structure (Maîtrise des structures de la langue) and;
- reading comprehension (Compréhension écrite).

On the other hand, students can strengthen their confidence by attempting some sample questions which are carefully selected for the target level. Although speaking is not tested in the compulsory sections, interactive activities which involve speaking will be included in the training to help consolidate students’ learning.

This course prepares students for the French benchmark examination, Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française (DELF) at the level of A2 according to the CEFR.
The DELF A2 is a diploma granted by the French Ministry of National Education and certifies French skills at A2 level. The diploma is recognised all over the world and valid for life. From 2025 onwards, DELF is the stipulated official French examination for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE). HKDSE students who learn the French language as a Category C subject must take the DELF examination at level A2 or above within the two years preceding the HKDSE they sit.

This course is for complete beginners. It aims to be a simple introduction giving participants a taste for the French language. There will be plenty of opportunities to listen to and speak the language whilst learning the basics of French pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary. The classroom atmosphere will be relaxed and supportive with practice in small groups using the latest interactive methodology. Topics include greetings, numbers, countries, nationalities, languages, talking about one's job and simple questions and answer forms.

This course is for complete beginners who want to learn the language basics fast and in a fun way. It is also a good way to get a taste of the language before committing to a longer course. The emphasis is on speaking and listening, rather than on grammar. Participants will see how a little language can go a long, long way. Some of the topics include introductions, numbers, telling the time, asking for the way, eating out, shopping, booking a hotel room & dealing with communication problems. There will be a relaxed & supportive learning environment. The course is not exam-based.
