To preserve the legacy of traditional Chinese medical culture; popularise the knowledge of CM healthcare; promote the concept of holistic health; elevate the calibre of local CM practitioners; strengthen the collaboration of Western and Chinese medical fields; foster CM talents: for 30 years, this has been the unwavering mission and vision of HKU SPACE’s CM subject group.

We have consistently held our programmes to the highest standards and emphasised the need to synergise theory and practice. In the past decade, we have provided CM practitioners with professional training programmes in pain management, oncology, gynaecology, acupuncture, Tui-na etc. We have also popularised introductory CM programmes among HA healthcare professionals, offered acupuncture training to physiotherapists, offered Chinese medicine dispensing programme to the related industry practitioners, and opened up a wealth of learning opportunities in CM knowledge, nutrition, beauty study, and acupuncture/Tui-na to the public.

We are staunch believers in the notion that knowledge is power, and that continuous learning is a lifestyle for optimal living. By providing a diverse CM programmes, we hope to equip our students with the necessary knowledge, so that they can create a bright future for themselves and give back to our society in meaningful ways.
