David Ngai
David Ngai is the Managing Director at State Street Bank and Trust Company, overseeing Compliance practice in the Asia-Pacific region for Markets, and serving as Alternate Chief Executive for the Hong Kong Branch. On top of governance, David is also responsible for the managing of the relationships with the Regulators and Central Banks from Market Infrastructure, and Supervisory perspective. Previously, he was Managing Director for the Asia Pacific Global FX Division of the Global Financial Markets Association, representing major international banks engaging with Regulators and Central Banks on FX market practices, and transparency requirements such as the FX Global Code. David holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Development from the University of Birmingham, is a qualified accountant, and has regulatory and regional compliance managerial experience from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission’s Enforcement Division, and other globally systemic important banks for both Equity and FICC markets.

Mr Ivan Law
Mr Ivan Law brings over two decades of combined experience in education, applied data science, and the finance industry, with a proven track record of empowering learners to master in-demand technical skills. Holding a BEng in Computer Science from HKUST and an MSc in Financial Management from the University of London, Ivan leverages his interdisciplinary background to make complex data science concepts accessible to students from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. As a part-time lecturer at CityU SCOPE, he has delivered over 2,100 instructional hours across 8 cohorts of adult learners, specializing in Python, Pandas, NumPy, data visualization (Matplotlib/Seaborn/Plotly), and AI/ML foundations. Rooted in rigorous project-based learning, his teaching philosophy prioritizes clarity, practical application, and active engagement. He designs interactive exercises and real-world projects to help learners translate theoretical concepts into actionable skills that meet workplace needs. Complementing his teaching practice is 18+ years of experience in senior roles across the banking and hedge fund industry, where he led teams in operations, risk management, and compliance at both local and US-based hedge fund firms. Serving as Director, Ivan now designs and delivers professional data science training and deploys AI/ML pipelines for SMEs. This hands-on, up-to-date experience building industry-ready solutions ensures his teaching curricula remain current with the latest tools and market demands, which further strengthens his ability to connect analytical rigor with business insights.

Dr Giles Proctor
Dr Giles Proctor qualified as a solicitor with Addleshaw Goddard in Manchester and practiced in corporate and commercial law before entering teaching and completing his PhD and has designed and delivered commercial diploma courses and corporate training for ‘magic circle’ law firms, whilst at Nottingham Law School and the University of Law. He managed the successful opening of Kaplan Law School, delivering postgraduate legal education, in partnership with Nottingham Law School, to over 16 City firms. Whilst leading Kaplan Law School , the Law School was contracted by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to design and develop the assessment for the changing QLTS exam regime, which has now shaped the SQE assessment regime, he also helped found Roehampton Law School (the Law School), which opened in September 2015. Giles joined The College of Legal Practice as Chief Executive Officer in February 2020 and leads our business engagement, collaborating with firms and Universities to develop bespoke training programmes around professional education, including SQE. In December 2024, Giles was appointed as a Fellow of The College of Law Australia Group. He is also a visiting lecturer on the LLB(Hons) of Manchester Law School and HKU SPACE for Business Associations.

Dr. Dan Tang holds a Doctor of Management from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and currently serves as Professor of Practice in the Department of Management Information Systems at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, as well as an Advisor to PolyU’s Digital Assets and Innovation Research Centre. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in English from Fudan University alongside a Master of Science in Finance from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, he brings extensive industry experience in cross-border investment banking, corporate finance, and global entrepreneurship. His expertise includes AI-enhanced financial security, real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, and the integration of Generative AI with Web3 platforms. Dr. Tang specialises in pedagogical application for corporate finance strategy, predictive AI agents, and bridging academic research with decentralized finance, having founded multiple innovative fintech ventures.
