Talk about disability and social inclusion in an RTHK Radio 5 Programme
Dr Simon Ng, Senior Programme Director in Law, was invited as guest to an RTHK Radio 5 (AM783) programme, Colorful Journey 繽紛旅程 (14 June 2023 episode) to share his work on advancing disability equality and inclusion. Following the spirit of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, he emphasized the importance of understanding disability through embracing human diversity, overcoming attitudinal, environmental and systemic barriers, and building disability inclusion capacity in education and employment to bring about an ethical, inclusive and sustainable society. Dr Ng is the Programme Leader of two new interdisciplinary programmes-- Postgraduate Diploma in Disability Employment and Inclusion and Postgraduate Diploma in Inclusive Education Leadership.
