Field Trip to Taipei and Kaohsiung (2023)
The field trip provided our students with invaluable insights into the development of cultural and creative industries in Taiwan. Through site visits and symposiums with industry leaders, they were able to gain comparative perspectives on the evolving landscape of the arts and creative sectors in the region.
The field trip held from 16 to 20 Aughst 2023, offered arts management students an opportunity to explore the development of cultural and creative industries in Taiwan. This was achieved through visits to major performing arts venues, cultural and historical sites, as well as public and private museums in Taipei and Kaohsiung. The field trip comprised a symposium and guided tours.
During the symposium, senior administrators and arts practitioners shared their valuable experiences in tackling challenges. The site visits, on the other hand, focused on how arts ventures are implemented. The study of Taiwan's experiences allowed students to gain insights and reflections on the changing environments in arts and cultural landscapes in a neighboring region, which provided them with comparative views when looking back at the related creative industries in Hong Kong.
