1st class LLB success for Jason Wong with HKU SPACE

Study smart and stay curious.

"I am thrilled and honoured to have graduated with first class honours. I would like to thank my wife Ava for her support, my previous line manager Andrew for accommodating my study schedule and the professors who made my journey through the realm of law an interesting one. 

This programme was challenging for the amount of knowledge to digest and remember, and the workload of being a regulatory manager at a top-tiered European bank didn’t make it any easier. My key to success is to study smart and stay curious. I focused on 6-8 examination hot topics for each module and made sure I thoroughly understand the content and deep dived in areas that interested me. Also by trying to apply what I learned to real-life scenarios, e.g. from the news, it helped me to stay curious and motivated. So by the time I entered the examination room, I knew passing wouldn’t be a problem.

The legal knowledge and skills gained from the programme is invaluable to my work and personal life. So, ending with a motto, I would encourage other students to quantum potes, tantum audes – dare to do your best."
