Ms Tani Wong
Tani is a veteran in the licensing business with in-depth knowledge about licensors, licensees, and various aspects of licensing. Since joining Licensing International in 2009, she has brought robust growth to the organization ‘s membership and new initiatives for China and Southeast Asia. She is a resource speaker and enjoys sharing the benefits of licensing with people from different industries. During her role as sales director at Warner Bros, she took care of all licensing business in Asia and successfully led the team to maximize revenue potential of a diverse portfolio of properties. She also spent time on coaching licensing agents and ensured that best practices were shared within the region. Tani started her licensing career at Disney Consumer Products where she developed her expertise in the capacity of marketing and category sales. The years at Disney had cultivated her enthusiasm and commitment to stay with the industry for over 20 years.

Introduction
This workshop aims to provide the public with diverse insights into brand licensing and international trends, specifically targeting individuals interested in IP commercialization, trend brand operations, and legal protections related to intellectual property. By analyzing core cases such as the brilliant success of POP MART, participants will learn how to effectively utilize Intellectual Property (IP) management to enhance marketing effectiveness and revenue.
Content
This 4-hour workshop is divided into three main sections:

Introduction to Brand Licensing and International Trends: Exploring the global licensing market scale, Gen Z consumption trends, and the immersive experiences brought by virtual technologies (such as virtual art toy weeks).

Foundations of Intellectual Property Law: Introducing core legal knowledge for IP protection and the basic norms of brand licensing.

Brand Protection and Case Study Execution: Analyzing the successful experiences of renowned brands such as Molly, Chocolate Rain, and McDull to learn how to address challenges in the process of IP commercialization.
