Ms Carmen Jordán Fernández
Carmen is a native teacher from Spain, who has attained a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature. She has also obtained a master's degree in Didactics of Spanish as a Foreign Language. She has been working as a Spanish teacher in Hong Kong for more than ten years and is currently the Spanish coordinator of HKU SPACE.

This interactive language and culture session invites students to explore the rich culinary traditions of Hong Kong, Spain, and Latin America through engaging vocabulary games and cultural comparisons. Participants will begin by identifying iconic foods and drinks from different regions and will reinforce their new vocabulary in a dynamic setting. The session will also introduce the Spanish verb gustar, along with related expressions, to help you express likes and dislikes and respond to others’ tastes. By the end of the session, participants will be able to talk about food preferences in simple Spanish while gaining cultural insights into diverse cuisines. There will be some Spanish snacks and drinks as well — sign up now! ¡ Hasta pronto !
