This sharing explores the transformative potential of Hong Kong’s Low Altitude Economy (LAE), highlighting key opportunities such as urban air mobility, logistics innovation, and cross-boundary integration with the Greater Bay Area (GBA). It addresses critical challenges including airspace management, infrastructure readiness and public acceptance, while proposing a strategic roadmap and development suggestions to advance LAE. The sharing emphasises the importance of regulatory frameworks covering safety, air traffic coordination, alongside the need to build capabilities in autonomous systems, data integration, and operations. A use case on passenger-carrying LAE services demand and operational feasibility, offering insights into future mobility solutions for Hong Kong.
