Mr James Wong 黃安弘先生

Mr. Wong is an experienced psychology lecturer at universities/tertiary institutions. He applies various psychological techniques in his teaching to help students better absorb knowledge. Mr. Wong completed his Social Sciences degree and Education Diploma at the University of Hong Kong, and later obtained his Master's degree in Psychology from a U.S. university. He achieved outstanding results in psychology examinations, scoring higher than 92% of test-takers globally in the GRE Psychology test, and excels at preparing students for psychology examinations. Since 2009, Mr. Wong has been an award-winning producer, arranger, and composer in Hong Kong's popular music industry. In recent years, he has integrated music and positive psychology to help students enhance their life satisfaction.

The attractive prospects of psychologists/counsellors have inspired many to pursue this profession. However, for non-psychology graduates, how to enter the field becomes a key question.

Many universities offer Psychology Conversion Master's programs and Counselling Master's programs. However, top global institutions have strict requirements for both their Psychology Conversion Master's and Counselling Master's programs. Top global institutions generally screen suitable candidates through three main assessment methods: Personal Statement, written test, and interview. To stand out in this fierce competition, thorough preparation is key to success.

To help you excel in this competitive process, we have specially designed this intensive preparation workshop. Our workshop aims to prepare you for these top universities' entrance exams and interviews. Through targeted learning, you can better equip yourself, increase your chances of admission, and pave your way toward becoming a psychologist/counsellor.

Objectives:

  1. Guide participants in preparing their Personal Statement
  2. Train participants for Psychology Conversion Master/Counselling Master's program entrance examinations
  3. Prepare participants for Psychology Conversion Master/Counselling Master's program admission interviews

Content:

  1. Guide participants in crafting an effective Personal Statement
  2. Analyse successful Personal Statement examples from students who gained admission to prestigious Psychology Conversion Master/ Counselling Master's programs
  3. Help participants identify and analyse their strengths from their academic and work experience, enabling them to highlight their advantages in the Personal Statement.
  4. Provide various exercises to prepare participants for Psychology Conversion Master/ Counselling Master's program entrance examinations
  5. Conduct group discussions to prepare participants for admission interviews
  6. Discuss Psychology Conversion Master programs at top global universities to help participants develop education plans

Entry Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree or be close to completing their degree.
