Mr Danny W. C. Chan
Mr. Chan, FRM, has possessed rich experience in financial risk management, information technology and data science and worked as IT Manager over a decade. Being a practitioner in information technology, he is currently a consultant and trainer at Big Data Consultancy Services Company. Also, he is strong in Cloud-based solutions, Big Data Technology, Data Mining and Machine Learning. Moreover, Mr. Chan has obtained a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong as well as three Master Degrees in Risk Management Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Quantitative Analysis for Business from City University of Hong Kong and Industrial Logistics Systems from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

For an F&B Group with 30 outlets and POS data, the sales transaction amount would be dauntingly huge. How could we do analytics based on such a huge set of data?
Mr. Danny Chan would present a sound Big Data System for customized F&B business that would do dynamic reporting. Surprising to many people, one single dashboard of the system would replace more than hundreds of sales management reports at ease.
System performance would be the focus of the system. Mr. Chan is going to present such a system with almost one million sales records that would cripple your Excel in many situations. You will see how fast it is with a response time of less than a couple of seconds.
This involves superb techniques of data visualization with Tableau. People may think that it is extremely hard skill to design such a system but Mr. Chan, the speaker, would demonstrate his system design during this talk.
