Ms Ivana Chiu
Ms Ivana Chiu completed her undergraduate studies in Chinese-Korean Interpreting at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Korea, and earned a Master's degree in Chinese Linguistics and Language Acquisition from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She presently serves as a full-time lecturer in the Korean Language Programme at HKU SPACE.

The Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) is the most widely recognised benchmark test for the Korean language and is a prerequisite for studying and working in Korea. Furthermore, as of 2025, TOPIK scores of Grade 3 or above are acknowledged as HKDSE category C results. In this seminar, we will outline the process of applying for TOPIK, provide an overview of the test structure, offer strategies for tackling the test at different levels, and briefly mention TOPIK-IBT, which was introduced in Hong Kong last year. All individuals interested in taking the test are invited to attend this informative session.
