Signing of the Second Joint Venture Agreement between HKU SPACE and Po Leung Kuk
HKU SPACE and Po Leung Kuk announced the signing of the second joint venture agreement for the development of the HKU SPACE Po Leung Kuk Stanley Ho Community College (HPSHCC), marking a significant milestone in their partnership that began in 2006. This renewed partnership, set to run for 30 years from 2025 to 2055, underscores our shared commitment to educational excellent and innovation.
The Signing Ceremony of the Joint Venture Agreement took place at HPSHCC on 10 March 2025. The agreement was signed by Professor Ian Holliday, Chairman of the Board of Directors, HKU SPACE and Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning), The University of Hong Kong, and Mrs Helena Tung Pong, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Po Leung Kuk. It was witnessed by Professor William K.M. Lee, Director of HKU SPACE and College Principal, HPSHCC, and Mr Timothy Chan, CEO, Po Leung Kuk.
Building on the successes of our first collaboration, this agreement aims to elevate HPSHCC to new heights by combining the unique strengths of both organisations - academic rigor from HKU SPACE and practical industry insights from Po Leung Kuk. Together, we will create synergies that maximise the impact on our students and the broader community. A core goal of this renewed partnership is to contribute significantly to Hong Kong’s development as an education hub in the region. By attracting talent from across the region and fostering a vibrant culture of innovation, research, and entrepreneurship, we aim to shape a brighter future for education and beyond.
Senior management from both HKU SPACE and Po Leung Kuk also attended the event, highlighting the commitment and support from the leadership teams of both institutions.
