Dr Jenny Tung, Associate Head of the College of Life Sciences and Technology and Senior Programme Director of the Chinese Medicine Programme of HKU SPACE, represented the School at the "6th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Conference on Inheritance, Innovation and Development of Chinese Medicine " held in Dongguan on 14 November 2024. The conference gathered government officials and representatives from the Chinese medicine (CM) field across Guangdong,  Hong Kong, and Macao to engage in in-depth exchanges and discussions on CM services, education, research, and industry development. A cooperation framework agreement was signed regarding talent cultivation among the three regions. Several cooperation projects related to CM in the Greater Bay Area were confirmed during the meeting. Dr Tung also signed a cooperation agreement with the Dongguan Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine on behalf of the School. Both parties will closely collaborate on the mobility of CM personnel and CM education in the Greater Bay Area, providing specialised internship bases for CM talent and enhancing information exchange in CM. This collaboration will enhance the School's influence in the CM education platform within the Greater Bay Area.
