HKU SPACE: Helped me Prepare for a Legal Career in Australia

I would recommend HKU SPACE to anyone considering higher education.

I’m now pursuing a pathway towards qualifying as a lawyer in Brisbane, Australia after graduating from HKU SPACE Graduate Diploma in English and Hong Kong Law and LLB (Hons) Hong Kong.

The LLB (Hons) Hong Kong, a one-year top-up course offered in collaboration with Manchester Metropolitan University, provides students with an understanding of both the English and Hong Kong common law legal systems. This complementary approach was very beneficial because it equipped me with a thorough understanding of both jurisdictions, allowing me to compete as a skilled solicitor—and also helped prepare me for a future legal career in Australia. 

HKU SPACE has provided a great platform, both in person and online, for learning and enriching my knowledge of the law. The lecturers are well versed and offer insightful real-life advice. Their practical approach helped shape my experience and significantly contributed to my higher studies at HKU SPACE. 

I can only praise faculty members who replied so promptly to queries and proved crucial during the tumultuous COVID-19 period, when schedule changes were unavoidable.  

I would recommend HKU SPACE to anyone considering higher education. The LLB (Hons) Hong Kong degree, in particular, covers a wide range of topics in a short amount of time.

My advice to future students is to always come prepared and be willing to put in the effort necessary to get the most out of the experience.
