Highlights

This is an online course and classes are all conducted  LIVE online.

In this course, we study selections from traditional and modern repertoire that builds cello playing up to an advanced level (equivalent to ARSM (the new post-Grade 8 performance-only diploma), DipABRSM, ATCL, AMus (AMEB) or Suzuki Book 9), focusing on pieces from the ABRSM, Trinity and AMEB curricula. Through lectures and demonstrations, we will take a closer look at the development of essential cello technical skills and musicianship, enabling students to play a brand range of repertoire, from short pieces to concertos, as well as works drawn from popular media. This course is particularly suitable for intermediate level cello students and amateur players (Grade 5/Suzuki Book 5 or above). Teachers, parents and music lovers are also welcome. (Please note that selections of repertoire differ each time the course is offered.
