Mr. Shum Yat-fei is a journalist engaged in the multimedia and cultural fields. He has been an eminent newspaper columnist and commentator on radio and TV programs since 1978. Master Shum has been actively involved in higher education institutions and the broadcasting industry for over 50 years. He was an adjunct professor at The Institute for Entrepreneurship, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University for several years, teaching various courses on applying traditional Chinese thinking to modern management. Since 2013, he has been teaching a series on classic Chinese wisdom at HKU SPACE. 

Master Shum is dedicated to promoting the I Ching and the inheritance of Eastern culture. He integrates the heritage of Eastern and Western thought, interpreting modern thinking and skill, while also applying techniques that allow traditional culture to permeate into the new era of artificial intelligence. He possesses versatile knowledge and remarkable memory, which has earned him the public reputation of an “encyclopedist.” His unconventional and humorous speaking style always leaves the audience with fascinating impressions.  

In recent years, Master Shum has become popular on YouTube, sharing his knowledge about healthy lifestyles and I Ching interpretation in current affairs. Moreover, he has established a living philosophy with a “Simple, Easy and Nice” concept that is extracted from the I Ching.
